After decades, today “products” are used that delay aging and serve to achieve a smooth and glowing skin for longer, including these foods that delay aging.
Since humanity began, many have been afraid of getting old. Probably because life is not eternal. Since then, and until now, we are looking for a way to stop the years to find the philosopher’s stone, the elixir of eternal youth.
Unfortunately, there is no universal diet to prevent aging. But there are certain foods that can help stop aging and to look and feel much younger. And they are not priceless or hard-to-get delicacies. They are very accessible products and we surely have them at home.
1. Chicken fillet (without skin)
.
Chicken meat, as well as fish and legumes, are rich in protein. Our body is capable of converting protein into amino acids, which in turn participate in cell regeneration. In addition, protein is essential to produce collagen.
Over the years, collagen decreases and the skin loses its tone, begins to fade. So, if you want to “save your face” for as long as possible, try to eat at least a small amount of protein foods at each meal.
2. Garlic
.
Garlic is rich in antioxidants, polyphenols. They protect the skin from free radicals that destroy collagen in the skin. For added benefit, allow peeled garlic to air for 10-15 minutes before cooking or adding to your favorite dish.
3. Green tea
.
Did you know that overusing coffee causes wrinkles to form? Due to sudden increases in stress hormones – adrenaline and norepinephrine. Therefore, coffee drinkers should think about switching to green tea.
The caffeine content of green tea is much lower than coffee, but it is rich in antioxidants, polyphenols. Just try not to take it after 3pm as it can cause trouble falling asleep.
4. Water
.
Water is the main component of the “elixir of youth” and is accessible to all. Any dermatologist will tell you: that you should avoid dehydration. Even small wrinkles become more visible on dry skin.
When normal cells are filled with fluid, a protective layer of elasticity is created. The result, a skin with greater elasticity and shiny.
5. Berries
Raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries are fruits with the highest antioxidant content. Remember that antioxidants are our defenders in the fight against free radicals. The same ones that decrease collagen and lead to skin discoloration and wrinkles.
For this reason, you should add a glass of smoothie or fresh fruit juice, or a natural yogurt to your daily diet.
6. Olive oil
It is not surprising that this product is recommended by cosmetologists and dermatologists, and a whole series of beauty products are based on it. But there is no better way than adding olive oil to your diet. The mixture of fatty acids and oleic acid strengthen and help retain fluid.
Which makes the skin softer and more hydrated. The oil is also rich in vitamin E and polyphenols. Buy only virgin olive oil (labeled extra virgin) and don’t forget to use it in your meals.
7. Salmon and mackerel
.
Probably the “richest” item on our list. But also rich, in the literal sense: it is difficult to find a better source of omega-3 fatty acids, necessary for the heart and for the brain, these increase mental alertness, the luminosity of the skin, which allows a skin smooth and wrinkle free. Don’t be put off by how expensive it is – 50 to 100g is enough per week.
8. Beans
.
Some beans have resveratrol in amounts comparable to wine, which can prevent DNA damage that leads to aging. Black beans and lentils have this ingredient in the highest amounts. Also, beans have a higher amount of antioxidants than other foods.
