Leonor of Spain, a year of style for the future Queen
Leonor, the eldest daughter of Letizia Ortiz and Felipe of Spain is growing. She is no longer a child and, for her, there is an ever-growing list of responsibilities that, as heir to the Throne, she will have to assume. Now that she has reached an important milestone, she is ready to change her whole life to become a great Queen in the future.
Letizia of Spain and her husband Felipe have always been caring, attentive and loving parents, but they have never hidden from their daughters Leonor and Sofia the difficulties that come with belonging to the Royal Family. Ortiz, in particular, has imposed strict rules on the two girls since childhood.
For Leonor, therefore, the idea of having to make sacrifices in order to learn to be a good Queen and follow in her father’s footsteps is nothing new. But now, everything is about to change for her: in fact, a key school year has ended, the last at the Santa María de los Rosales school. After the holidays, which he will spend at least in part, as usual, with his family in Palma de Mallorca, he will leave to begin his new life in Wales.
It is in fact in Wales that the Princess will continue to study. More specifically, at UWC Atlantic College. To do so, he will have to say goodbye to all his habits and to the daily support of her sister Sofia. The two have always been very close and, for the first time in their life, they will be forced to move away and live miles apart.
Furthermore, in recent years Leonor has begun to take part in a series of institutional commitments, which are becoming more and more dense. In the not too distant future, he will have to manage to reconcile everything with his studies. He will live in a boarding school and his school hours will be from 8.30 to 13.10. He will participate in sporting, social and creative activities and, at the same time, he will continue to keep faith to his duties to the Crown.
At the age of only 15, Leonor will therefore have to take on many responsibilities and changes that are truly enormous for a teenager. At her side, albeit at a distance, there will always be mother Letizia and father Felipe, ready to guide her in the most difficult moments, and dear sister Sofia. With their help and with such an elaborate training plan, there is no doubt: the Princess will become a perfect Queen.
