It is a period of great change for Letizia of Spain who, after a wonderful family vacation in her beloved Mallorca, had to let go of her eldest daughter, Leonor. The heir to the throne, in fact, flew to Wales, to receive a high quality training. For the Queen, however, there is another novelty: she became aunt again.

The Ortiz family has grown. The Queen’s younger sister, Telma, gave birth to a baby girl, the fruit of her love with her second husband Robert Gavin Bonnar. So she became a mother for the second time, at the age of 47.

In fact, Telma already has a daughter. This is Amanda, who is about 13 years old and was born from Ortiz’s relationship with the lawyer Enrique Martín Llopis. What is going to form is, like this, a real extended family, to which are added the two sons of Gavin Bonnar, the result of a previous marriage.

For Letizia di Spagna the arrival of a new granddaughter it is a source of great joy and it is an opportunity to intensify the bond with Telma, with which relations, in recent years, have been fluctuating. The two, in fact, have always been very close since childhood and throughout their youth.

The important role played by Letizia when she married Felipe, however, has created fractures among the sisters, who have experienced very difficult moments. To determine, in particular, the strict rules imposed by the court protocol and the numerous commitments of the Queen that have removed her, despite the unchanged affection for her loved ones. The relationship between the two, then, froze even more when the two lost their other sister, Erika, and when Telma, for a period, lived outside Spain.

Confirmed the rumors of her relationship with Robert Gavin Bonnar, Telma then returned to Spain, completely resuming relations with her sister. The birth of the granddaughter, in short, cannot help but unite them even more. But above all, the joy of the new arrival can help the Queen Consort to be distracted by the lack of Leonor which, by now, is ready to take flight and prepare to ascend the Spanish throne in a future that is still very far away.
