Kate Middleton enchants with her red coat and micro-bag
Kate Middleton come back in public and take your breath away with the sophisticated red coat by Eponine. The occasion is the meeting at the National Portrait Gallery with the photographers who contributed with their shots to the book, Hold Still, born from the competition organized by the Duchess of Cambridge during the first lockdown.
After the recycled and low-cost looks that featured Zara’s blue blazer and shirt from 11 years ago, Kate Middleton shows up with another of her fantastic overcoats. In the days following the funeral of Prince Philip, Lady Middleton had opted for the black Dolce & Gabbana coat, but now that the period of mourning is over she can dare with colors and she does so by wearing red, the favorite color of Letizia of Spain.
The Duchess of Cambridge therefore presented herself at the official event with a sophisticated and trendy outfit. The highlight of the outfit is the long one red coat of Eponine, one of her favorite brands. The garment seems sewn especially for her: fitted, shapes the slim figure of Kate, the neckline is Korean style, crescent-shaped pockets on the hips, a single row of tone-on-tone buttons close the outerwear at the waist, detail particular is the electric blue lining. The price is on request.
The coat belongs to the fall / winter 2018 collection, but it is the first time that Lady Middleton wears it in public. Kate made her debut with this brand in 2016 sporting a £ 1,650 coat, a £ 1,200 top and skirt.
Under the coat, you can see a maxi skirt – much loved by William’s wife – with golden beige pleats. But accessories are striking in Lady Middleton’s new look. For once the Duchess of Cambridge avoids using the clutch and opts for a micro handbag, true trend of the season, by DeMellier, from around 340 euros, which combines with a pair of classic beige pumps, with a stiletto heel, which she wears without socks.
The hair is left free to fall over the shoulders in large curls, while the vintage-style earrings belong to her jewelry collection. Finally, it has not escaped the band-Aid on one of the fingers of the left hand. A detail that in the past had caused a lot of discussion in the media about the causes of small cuts on her fingers that often force her to bandage them.
