Kate Middleton and William, George is getting bigger
Kate Middleton and Prince William they are worried about the little George. After all, how can we blame him: we live in a historical moment that is in many ways difficult, certainly different from the one in which previous generations (including the Dukes of Cambridge) grew up. But the reason in this case is very specific.
As a source revealed exclusively to Us Weekly, “William and Kate are nervous about what the future holds for George. He is growing up in a different era from his parents. Times have changed since. There were no i social media or the Internet trolls when William and Kate were children ”.
And that’s exactly the point: the world of the web and social networks, the same that in a short time revolutionized the way we connect and communicate, collect and exchange information, reveals itself in some ways a double-edged sword. And William and Kate had tangible proof of this just a few days ago, when little George appeared in the images of the final of the 2020 European Championships, disputed between Italy and England.
A moment dedicated to sport and to the joy for your team that has turned into one real social pillory towards what, after all, it is only a child (albeit third in line of succession to the British throne). The comments were cruel to say the least, as well as inappropriate: for his reactions, his expressions, the way he was dressed. All this is unacceptable for any person, let alone a child.
Precisely for this reason, Kate and William, who have always been open to modern and direct communication, had already decided not to share any posts on the occasion of little George’s birthday, who last July 22 he turned 8 years old. They feared that after the storm passed, the serial haters would start targeting their son again.
Actually then Kate thought about it and shared a wonderful photo of George (homage to Prince Philip), as usual by her, without breaking what has now become a tradition in all respects. It is not excluded, however, that the royal spouses give a drastic cut to public (and social) appearances of the children, trying to keep George, Charlotte and Louis out of the spotlight more cautiously and selectively.
Little George – getting bigger and more beautiful – it does not deserve certain free attacks, like any other child. Kate and William are aware that he is the heir to the throne and that this entails protocols and responsibilities, but this has never made him change his mind about one thing they believe is fundamental: making him grow up together with his brothers with a life as normal as possible, without feeding particular vices and encouraging him to behave like a child of his age.
