Farewell to Prince Philip: difficult childhood, love for the Queen and grandchildren
After the news of the death of Prince Philip which has shocked England and the world, the first news arrives about the funeral of the husband of Queen Elizabeth. After the Duke of Edinburgh’s passing was announced, subjects began leaving floral tributes outside Buckingham Palace’s gates. Hundreds of them left postcards, flowers and candles outside the residence to commemorate Philip.
A few hours after Philip’s death, the royals asked their subjects to respect the restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus, avoiding gatherings and crowds. They were also asked not to try in any way to participate in funeral events, following the rules dictated by public health.

The funeral will not be of the State, but in a restricted form, as requested by Philip himself. The ceremony will therefore be private “in accordance with the customs and wishes of the deceased”, as revealed by the BBC. Philip’s body will remain in Windsor Castle until the religious ceremony which will take place in the presence of very few people, at most thirty.
The funeral program has a code name, Operation Forth Bridge, and will also be modified according to anti-Covid regulations. Certainly the funeral will be attended by Kate Middleton, William, the Queen and the other members of the Royal Family. However, doubts remain about Harry and Meghan Markle. “Harry will do his best to return to the UK and be with his family,” a source told the Daily Mail. He will want nothing more than to be there for his loved ones, and in particular for his grandmother, during this terrible time ”.

Another New York Post source announced: “Harry was very close to his grandfather. Obviously there will be, no matter how difficult the relationship between the Sussex and the family is ”.
