Flowers with leaves
We found the abundance of flowers a bit surprising last season. The floral prints felt much more harmonious with all the other nature themes found in collections and presentations.
Oversized florals
Large floral prints allow designers and printers to display detailed art.
Tiny, busy flowers
Small florals are a bit more abstract, ultra-feminine, and romantic.
Geometric Patterns
Vertical stripes
Most of the pinstripes this season are quite colorful, and the stripes themselves tended to be vertical, which is always flattering.
Wild stripes
In addition to vertical stripes, there were also striped prints and patterns in the summer of 2022 that went in other directions, in a more wild and unusual style.
Horizontal stripes
We downplayed them a bit, but horizontal stripes also featured in summer 2022 prints and patterns. They weren’t as loud or dramatic as their vertical counterparts, but they still deserved some attention.
Squares and rhombuses
While plaid lagged a bit behind this season, the checkered and plaid patterns of spring 2021 are fairly common. The pattern is a bit more appropriate for spring, remembering the use of picnic blankets and the time we spent outside!
