Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married: secret marriage
It is a time of anniversaries for the Royal Family: Beatrice of York celebrates the first anniversary wedding with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The couple could not be happier: the Princess and the entrepreneur are in fact expecting their first child, who should be born next autumn.
The Italian entrepreneur, on the occasion of their first anniversary, wanted to dedicate to his Beatrice words full of love, posting on Instagram a selfie of a trip together:
I can’t believe it’s been a year. Every second of every day was so filled with joy, happiness, laughter and love. You are the kindest, most loving, and most beautiful person in the world. Thank you my darling for every second!
Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, after just over a year of dating, got married in a private and secret ceremony in the presence of only twenty guests, including Queen Elizabeth, who lent her granddaughter her wedding dress, on July 17, 2020 in the Royal Chapel of All Saints in the Royal Lodge of Windsor Castle.
The couple should have get married on May 29, 2020 with a big party, the Princess had to postpone twice the wedding: initially due to some controversies that have affected his father, Prince Andrew, then due to the pandemic, which has affected the whole world.
Beatrice had to give up the dream Royal Wedding that Eugenia of York had instead, but together with her husband she allowed herself an all-Italian fairytale honeymoon, with a trip to his beloved Amalfi Coast. For the couple it is a place of great significance because it is precisely in Positano that, in the summer before the wedding, Count Mapelli Mozzi asked his beloved Beatrice for the hand.
That trip was particularly important for the couple because the two had the opportunity to spend wonderful days with little Christopher too, the son the Count had from a previous relationship.
Now the Princess and her husband are expecting their first child. The news, in addition to making the couple very happy, it was great news for Queen Elizabeth as well – who had to deal with the loss of Prince Philip – and for Eugenia, who gave birth little August and that she can’t wait to be aunt.
