Kitty Spencer, the white look in Venice inspired by Lady Diana
Kitty Spencer, grandson of Lady Diana, enchanted Venice when she showed up at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show with a splendid white dress, decorated with embroidery and beads, which definitively consecrates her as the true heir of the Princess of the People, 34 years after his death which took place on August 31, 1997.
Although Kate Middleton first and Meghan Markle then tried to revive Diana’s style, class and refinement, who most of all resembles her is Kitty, eldest daughter of Charles Spencer, brother of the late Princess. Of course she is benefited by the blood bond. And from her aunt she took her big blue eyes, blond hair and fair complexion, but also the unmistakable taste that makes her one of the most elegant noblewomen on the planet. Although this title was won by Beatrice Borromeo.
The fact is that Kitty Spencer has been conquering the scene more and more in recent months, also thanks to her fairytale wedding, strictly made in Italy, with 62-year-old billionaire Michael Lewis. The two are returning from a super luxury honeymoon in Italy with hotel stays from 4,186 euros per night. If a consecration as Diana’s heir was necessary, she arrived with the look flaunted in Venice for Dolce & Gabbana who signed her wedding dresses and of which she is a brand ambassador.
Lady Spencer therefore presented herself at the event in the Lagoon with a white midi dress, with a square neckline, short sleeves, embellished with beads and floral embroidery. The newlywed paired it with a pair of metallic silver sandals and a metal satchel bag. The blond hair left free on the back, while she preferred to minimize the jewels, “only” precious diamond earrings and a ring, leaving the décolleté free instead.
The white gives it particularly, making it ethereal and divine. Already at Royal Ascot, where in 2019 she presented herself with a lace look similar to the one sported by Kate Middleton, had proven that she knew how to wear white, a trait also taken from Aunt Diana. Lady D made some candid outfits unsurpassable, such as the one decorated with white pearls, created in 1989 by Catherine Walker, or the one-shoulder dress worn for the gala at the National Gallery in Washington in 1985, while in 1988 she illuminated the state dinner in Paris with a creation of Victor Edelstein. Not to mention the minidress that caused a sensation in 1995.
More than 30 years after her death, Diana’s style lives on in her niece Kitty Spencer.
