Charlene, the absence that makes noise: the family from Monaco alongside Alberto
The silence after the operation and the doubts about the marriage with Alberto: the future of Charlene of Monaco continues to be an enigma, especially after the princess has chosen not to post anything on Instagram anymore. The latest updates date back to the beginning of August, when the former sportswoman had posted some photos showing her metamorphosis away from the Principality.
Ethnic necklaces, smokey eyes and a determined gaze: in the shots Charlene looked very different from Alberto’s reserved wife. The photos, taken for a campaign in defense of rhinos, came from South Africa where the former swimmer is still today. In fact, Charlene has been in her homeland for months, far from her children, the twins Jacques and Gabriella, but above all from Alberto.
According to many, his would have been a real escape from the Palace. The princess would leave the Principality to figure out what to do in front of a marriage crisis that he can no longer manage. For the French and German magazines, behind the choice to fly to South Africa there would be the constant betrayals of Alberto that Charlene would no longer be able to bear, but above all a life at court, with duties and impositions, which would have given only unhappiness.
Official notes (and Charlene herself) stated that the princess cannot return to Monaco due to some health problems. In fact, an infection forced the former champion to stay in South Africa and undergo three operations. The latest was on 13 August, followed by a statement from Alberto in which the royal attempted to reassure everyone and said that he will soon join his wife to assist her during her convalescence. These words, however, were followed by a long silence and by increasingly insistent doubts about the relationship between the two spouses which, according to numerous sources, would have come to an end.
Meanwhile, the enigma remains and Charlene’s silence, fresh from her third operation, only makes it even more difficult to solve. In all likelihood, as anticipated by several tabloids, it will be she, in a few months (probably October), who will unveil her divorce from Alberto. An announcement that could coincide with the princess’s return to the Principality of Monaco.
