Harry and Meghan Markle, the film: first photos and harsh criticism of Fuga da Palazzo on social media
The 4th of August is a day that – like it or not – for the Royal Family it is marked by memories. In fact, it wasn’t just the birthday of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. And even the Prince Charles, just like Kate Middleton, he preferred to cling to his memories, putting his daughter-in-law in the background. On the profile of Clarence House, which is run by the Prince’s spokesperson, no posts dedicated to Meghan have appeared, just a simple one history. However, the post was there, but for another person: on the 4th of August the Queen Mother, Her Majesty Elizabeth.
“On this day, in 1900, she was born Her Majesty Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Grandmother of Prince Charles, has lived at Clarence House for nearly fifty years. The silver vase with rosemary that you see in the photo was given to her for her one hundred years ”. To accompany the post caption some important words, which underline the incredible affection between Carlo and his grandmother. For Meghan, however, a few crumbs: only a story, which – we remember – disappeared after 24 hours, according to the rules of the social network.
The Queen Mother, who passed away on March 20, 2002 at the age of 102, has always been a very important point of reference for Carlo. Heir to the throne of England, first in the line of succession, he preferred to dedicate this special day to the boulevard of memories. No wonder why, from the moment the Prince Harry and Meghan they have effectively given up their royal duties, moving to America and cutting ties with the Royal Family.
On Twitter, however, Clarence House’s profile preferred to create a post for Meghan: so far, controversy avoided. And yet, we can feel that background disagreement that has now been created. Kate and Queen Elizabeth also wished Meghan their best wishes. Detachment, but gracefully, as the English style wants.
The choices of the Royals are not like ours: they have no truth free will. Of course, Meghan is Carlo’s daughter-in-law and (perhaps) she could have shared two photos, without displeasing anyone. But, as a choice, it must be respected, even if one does not agree from the outside. In the end, Meghan and Harry have now made their decision: far from the English rigors and royal protocols, they are living their fairy tale, their love, together with their children. Archie And Lilibet.
