Kitty Spencer, 30, granddaughter of Lady Diana, married Michael Lewis, 62, a millionaire businessman. And for the wedding, which had nothing to envy to those of Kate Middleton and William and Harry and Meghan Markle, she chose 5 princely wedding dresses, made by Dolce & Gabbana, of which she was also a model.
Kitty, daughter of Earl Spencer and first wife Victoria Lockwood, is Diana’s “daughter” never had. Blonde, clear eyes, delicate features, she looks a lot like her aunt, who died prematurely in 1997. So beautiful and so elegant, as to be highly sought after by fashion brands, such as Dolce & Gabbana, but also to put Kate’s media presence to the test. Middleton. Like when she was the undisputed star at Royal Ascot, sporting a look very similar to her step-cousin.
Kitty Spencer married a millionaire entrepreneur over 30 years her senior, Michael Lewis. Already at the time of their engagement, the news caused a sensation. But anyhow, Lady Diana’s niece said yes and wanted an exclusive wedding, rigorously made in Italy, from the dresses to the location.
Kitty and Michael got married in the seventeenth-century villa Aldobrandini, in Frascati, just outside Rome. And of course she wanted her wedding dress to be made by the brand she is an ambassador for, Dolce & Gabbana.
But Kitty wanted a wedding in style, which was no less memorable than those of Kate and Meghan. And therefore, although it did not have the same media coverage, it spared no expense, both for the number of VIP guests, and for the dress or better the clothes.
It is customary for the bride to change her dress during a Royal Wedding, between the ceremony and the wedding party. But Lady Spencer wanted to exaggerate, choosing 5 different looks, made by Dolce & Gabbana who shared their creation on Instagram.
It starts from gorgeous wedding dress, naturally white, all in lace, floral themed, nineteenth-century style: puff sleeves tight at the cuffs, structured bodice and laced up to the high neck, wide and long skirt with kilometric train and white veil. The dress actually echoes the one her mother wore on her wedding day in 1989. But Kitty had to give up the tiara her mother shared with Princess Diana.
Then the change of look with a splendid dress with an off-the-shoulder train, a tribute to the artistic beauty of Italy, decorated with delicate designs of classic statues and fuchsia roses.
For dinner, Kitty Spencer chose instead a blue dress with fuchsia roses embroidered on tulle, from Degas dancer. But that’s not all, Lady Diana’s niece was photographed with a dress adorned with semiprecious stones, gold and silver. And finally, she wore a white dress, with bright flowers, with half-sleeves edged in green and adorned with lace. A triumph of opulence and elegance.
