Jill Biden drove the US presidential delegation in Japan, on the occasion of the 2020 Olympic Games. In addition to attending the inaugural ceremony, the First Lady – for the first time alone – held a meeting with theJapanese emperor Naruhito and with Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, at the Akasaka Palace. For her official meetings, Biden was flawless as usual, opting for extremely formal outfits.
But in his spare time he chose to participate in some of the competitions of the United States, to support the teams of his country. And on these occasions, Jill Biden showed off a decidedly different look from those to which she has accustomed us. The First Lady was first photographed in the stands of the Aomi Urban Sports Park, to attend the women’s basketball game between the USA and France, together with Macron. Later she headed to the stands of the Aquatics Center to cheer during the qualifying heats of the American swimming team.
As a great supporter of US sports, Joe Biden’s wife opted for a really fitting outfit. It is in fact shown with the official uniform of the US Team: blue blazer and white trousers by Ralph Lauren, t-shirt with stars and stripes flag print and mask with his name (as well as a small USA flag). An excellent fan, who rejoiced at the victories reported by the girls of the basketball team to whom, immediately after the end of the match, she approached and announced: “Congratulations, we are very proud of you“.
During her short trip to Japan, the First Lady has indeed had many opportunities to present herself in public. Among the other events he witnessed, there was also the women’s soccer match, in which the United States beat New Zealand.
