Not only that, Variety has announced that the bestseller will become a film produced by Palomar, the production house of Màkari and Montalbano. “I’m happy because I love Italy”, commented the writer, while the film producer Carlo Degli Esposti added: “Palomar immediately recognized all the elements that can transform a great book into a great adaptation. Changing the water to the flowers tells the story of Violette Touissaint, the keeper of a cemetery in a small town in Burgundy. Everything changes when a policeman from Marseille he comes to her to make an unusual proposal. The mother, who has recently disappeared, asked to be buried in that cemetery and in the grave of an unknown man. From that moment Violette will begin a journey to discover the links between the living and the dead, changing the perspective of her ever-still world.
