Elizabeth II, 69 years old as Queen: the record of the Sovereign
THE Royal Family Easter celebrations have come alive and could not miss the official photos. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles they are the protagonists of two very “bucolic” shots, which portray them happy and smiling in the beautiful gardens of Frogmore House.
Mother and son enjoy the fresh spring air, surrounded by flowering trees. He flawless and elegant as always, with a long camel-colored coat. The Queen also chose a loden for the occasion, but in a dark green, enriched byinevitable foulard that surrounds her head.
“The Queen and the Prince of Wales enjoy a stroll in the park of Frogmore House, Windsor. This image is one of two released to celebrate Easter weekend, ”reads the post shared on official Instagram profile of the Royal Family, that of the Queen. The other shot, on the other hand, was published in the Clarence House account, a profile entirely dedicated to the Prince of Wales.
The two photos were made by photographer Chris Jackson, also happy to share his important work on his Instagram account in which he dedicated a special dedication to the Royals. The photographer said to himself honored to have received this important assignment, but also very excited in the hope that they are a good omen for all families who are experiencing the difficult period of the pandemic.
Queen Elizabeth appears radiant and serene, despite the fact that these last few weeks have been quite “turbulent” in the family, to put it mildly. Meghan Markle and grandson Harry – expecting their second child – have raised quite a fuss with the interview with Oprah Winfrey, a few days afterofficialization of the Megxit which they strongly wanted. Accusations have flooded, even quite heavy (like forgetting that of racism, or Meghan’s declaration about depression and attempted suicide), however the stainless Queen she seems to have already left everything behind.
As revealed by royal biographer Andrew Morton, the Sovereign has already forgiven his nephew and wife. After all, it has never been a secret his particular passion for Harry, a fragile and delicate soul that is very reminiscent of that of Margaret, her beloved sister.
Certainly in the Easter photo theabsence of William and Kate, who are the closest to their grandmother and who have stayed by her side especially in the most difficult moments.
In truth, as revealed by Hello, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will not spend Easter with the Sovereign but with the Middleton family. They will probably reach Amner Hall, their Norfolk residence, and that just wouldn’t have made the Queen happy. All the grandchildren like that will be far away.
It seems that the blossoming of spring is coinciding with a period of rebirth for the Royal Family. The Queen is back in business with hers first official release in public, after a long period of inactivity due to the pandemic. Without forgetting the great fear for the conditions of her husband Prince Philip, who was hospitalized in February due to an illness but fortunately seems to have recovered.
Easter celebrations are an important moment for the Queen and her family, who have always been involved in official events which they had to give up last year. This year, however, the Sovereign managed to celebrate the traditional Maundy Thursday, albeit with due precautions. Generally on the Thursday preceding Easter Sunday, symbolic coins are handed over to people who have distinguished themselves for their services to the nation. He couldn’t do it in person, but he opted for a remote celebration, sending them by post with 190 letters written in his own hand.
Even the Prince Charles is doing his part in the Easter celebrations and on the occasion of the holiday weekend he decided to record a poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins, which will be broadcast on Sunday 4th April at Stonyhurst College in Lancashire. For the occasion he chose The greatness of God, a wonderful text that speaks of hope. And these days that’s just what everyone needs, royals and otherwise.
