The instrument introduced by the Government which will make it possible to move between regions and will come into force from mid-May. While the European vaccination pass is expected in early June.
How the vaccination pass works
The green pass will allow you to move freely in Italy without the use of self-certification, possible in case of work, emergencies or health reasons. The green certification will be issued in the presence of one of these three requirements: vaccination against Covid-19 occurred (with the vaccination cycle completed), negative result in a molecular or rapid antigen test, recovery from the disease.
Who issues the green pass
In case of molecular or rapid swab, the green pass is valid for 48 hours and is released by the testing pharmacy. Those who have had Coronavirus instead will receive a certificate from the hospital, if they have been hospitalized, alternatively the document will be drawn up by the general practitioner with a validity of 6 months. As for the people they have vaccine carried out, the certificate will be issued by the hub where it was run with a validity of 6 months.
The green pass for children
The requirements that allow you to obtain the green pass and move freely in Italy (and in Europe in a few weeks), also apply for minors. Excluding children under the age of two. In the latter case, in fact, article 51, paragraph 8, of the Dpcm applies, according to which: “For the purposes of entering the national territory, children under the age of two are exempted from carrying out a molecular or antigenic test”.
Families with children will therefore be able to move safely by obtaining the green pass in the presence of one of the three indicated requirements. Even if the vaccination campaign proceeds and there is already talk of a vaccination in schools, in all probability there will be many children and young people not yet vaccinated with the arrival of summer. In this case, a swab will be enough to travel, which will allow you to obtain a green certification valid for only 48 hours. A rule by which I am excluding children under the age of two who, on the other hand, have no obligation in any way to carry out the swab.
