There vaccination campaign in Italy it continues and the goal of 500 thousand doses per day no longer seems so far away, as premier Draghi himself said during the summit with the Regions. After the over 80s, healthcare personnel, guests and employees of the RSA and vulnerable subjects, it is now the turn of the over 70 receive the vaccine and it is hoped that the campaign will accelerate thanks to the possibility of vaccination also in pharmacies.
In many regions, those that are proceeding at a faster pace, the booking mode is already active, although to get a more precise idea of the timing a lot will depend on the availability of doses: for this age group, that from 70 to 79, the AstraZeneca vaccine is intended, which just a few days ago announced cuts in the delivery of vials.

Abruzzo
IS already active reservations for those over 70 born between 1942 and 1946, who can register on the platform made available by Poste Italiane (Find out how it works here). “We have chosen to divide the age group 70-79 into two subgroups – explained the regional councilor for Health Nicoletta Verì – precisely to allow a better organization of data collection and the subsequent administration campaign, which will involve a potential audience of about 135 thousand from Abruzzo. Soon we will also open to those born between 1947 and 1951 ”. Those who adhere to the vaccination will subsequently receive from their ASL all information on the characteristics of the vaccine for the purpose of signing the Informed Consent, necessary before its administration.
Campania
In the Region governed by Vincenzo De Luca it is already possible for the over 70s to book on the platform made available, which can be accessed via a tax code and health card. From 26 March those over 70 who had lost their shift due to the temporary suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine will also be reconvened.
Emilia Romagna
Currently, reservations are open for people aged 75 to 79 and we proceed with those also for the over 80 and school and university staff and the police. Meanwhile, the president Stefano Bonaccini announced that “we will soon open the agendas for the 70-74 age groups”. It is possible to book by going to the Cup counters, or in pharmacies with Cup reservations; online through the electronic health record, the ER Salute app and the CupWeb.
Friuli Venezia Giulia
Friuli-Venezia Giulia has already started vaccination of extremely vulnerable people and for the age group since 24 March between 75 and 79 years old (i.e. those born in the years 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1946). With the progress of the vaccination campaign and the subsequent supply of doses, we will proceed with the subsequent age groups, proceeding in order with those from 70 to 74 years and then with 65-69 and 60-64). Vaccination can be booked through the Cup of the Health Authorities or through the affiliated pharmacies. Alternatively, you can call the single number 0434 223522.
Lazio
Lazio is one of the regions where the vaccination campaign continues faster. After people born between 1944 and 1951, from March 27 it is even possible to book also for those born in 1952 and 1953, i.e. 68-year-olds and 69-year-olds. In fact, registration for the 1050-1951 classes was already open from 20 March. To book, just call 06 164161841 or follow the online procedure.
Liguria
Liguria also preferred to divide the age groups into further sub-categories. At the moment it is possible to book vaccinations, as well as for fragile subjects, school and law enforcement personnel, also for people aged between 70 and 74 years old. It is possible to book at the Cup counters, the ASL, hospitals, on the website, via the toll-free number 800 938 818 (from 8:00 to 18:00) or through the pharmacies that carry out the service.
Lombardy
Lombardy’s strategy is different, which at the moment allows the booking of the anti-Covid vaccine for over 70s only to those residing in high-risk municipalities due to the high number of infections, namely those in the province of Brescia (Capriolo, Iseo, Palazzolo sull’Oglio, Paratico, Pontoglio, Roccafranca, Rudiano, Urago d’Oglio) and Cremona (Soncino). For all the others over 70 registration should start starting from 2 April.
Piedmont
As early as March 15 in Piedmont, people aged between between 70 and 79 years old they could book, but the actual vaccinations for this age group only started from 29 March. 750 general practitioners have made themselves available to administer the vaccine in this region. The rest of the people will be summoned to the vaccination centers according to priorities, taking into account that at the moment the vaccination campaign for the first category is still being completed, that is, the one that includes over eighty, school staff, vulnerable people and the forces of ‘order.
Tuscany
At the moment in Tuscany reservations are open only for those over 70 born between 1941 and 1945, therefore aged between 76 and 79 years.
Trentino Alto Adige
As always in this Region, a distinction must be made between the Autonomous Province of Trento and Autonomous Province of Bolzano. The first allows reservations through Cup to over 75, to subjects with high fragility or handicap, to school staff and to the police. As for Bolzano, vaccinations are already active for people over 75, which can be booked on the dedicated website. By the beginning of April, the South Tyrolean Health Authority “should receive about 30,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which will be added to the 30,000 doses of BioNtech-Pfizer and Moderna arriving by the end of March”, they say.
Umbria
From 1 April it is possible to book the vaccine for people between 70 and 79 years old and subjects with high fragility. Reservations can be made directly online on the Umbria Cup website.
Valle d’Aosta
In the Aosta Valley, vaccinations have already started for people between 70 and 79 years old. In this case it is the health authority to contact people who fall into the categories that are entitled to vaccination to collect membership. The information is available on the dedicated website and on that of the Usl in the Infovaccini section.
All other Regions
In all other Regions have not yet been activated booking services for over 70s and the campaign for over 80s and other priority categories is still proceeding.
