The king of Nike sportswear, after launching its first women’s maternity collection in September, is now presenting its new film, The Toughest Athletes. Here are all the details.
The collection and the film on motherhood
The latest news we have on the sports brand dates back to a short time ago when he decided to collaborate with Lidl to create a line of low cost garments. Now let’s talk about it again for a new women’s sports collection, but dedicated for the first time to a very beautiful theme, namely the maternity. In fact, in September 2020, he had launched this collection of technical but super comfortable sportswear, designed precisely for women moms.
Needless to say, it was immediately a great success!
The message he wanted to launch with the film, and indeed with the collection, is the strength, courage and determination that distinguish women. It doesn’t matter what kind of mom you may be, what kind of woman you are, the only thing that really matters and you must always remember is that all women moms are real athletes, of the female warriors.
Precisely for this reason, the clothing line is designed to ensure maximum comfort and well-being at all times of the day, both for a pregnant mother and for one who has given birth a few months ago. But above all to adapt to the change of the body. Nike is indeed proposing to accompany women mothers in this beautiful moment of their life with an ad hoc collection for every need and every comfort. By opting for soft, comfortable, sustainable fabrics and colors for every mood, depending on how you feel on that day. In reality, the king of sportswear has always been concerned with doing this, continuing to support and emphasize the link that exists between sport and motherhood.
The Toughest Athletes
From this collection and these premises, the result is The Toughest Athletes, the Nike film dedicated, as mentioned, to motherhood and female strength. To direct the whole project we find Carmen Zolman, who is Nike’s Senior Design Director and mom. His idea was to go and collect the thoughts and emotions of nearly thirty athletes from different disciplines about their pregnancy and how life changed before and after. Obviously, the “changed body” factor emerged in all of them. But as they reported, the evolution of the body does not count, indeed it is a necessary and essential step in life, rather their value in recognizing their strength.
Women, in general, and women mothers have an extraordinary power that must never be forgotten. Through sport, therefore, Nike aims to enhance them and remind them of all this, in order to enjoy every moment of your life with yourself, with your body and with your children.
Have you already seen the Pieces of Woman movie on Netflix? It talks about motherhood and the lack of motherhood of a woman who has to deal with it and learn to live with it.
