How to choose the neckline: oval and oblong face
Let’s see below the first types of necklines and the face shapes associated with them:
Oval face neckline
Let’s start with the oval face, the more harmonious face shape according to the canons and the classical tradition, where the proportions are symmetrical, regulated and well balanced. There are no particular protrusions or obvious and disharmonious recesses. What types of necklines should you focus on? The variety suits you oval-faced but attention to the neck.
If you have it short enough, focus on short round necklines, if you have it rather long, then the solution is the crew neck. Alternatively, with a regular-length collar, you can have fun wearing whatever you prefer.
Oblong face neckline
Let’s now move on to a face shape very similar to the previous one, therefore to the oval face, but from which it differs for one particularity: verticality. The oblong face, in fact, develops in length rather than in width, resulting very dry especially in the cheek area. Furthermore, it is very pronounced at the height of the chin, where this is precisely more elongated than the oval face.
In this case, therefore, it is important to try to “soften” the verticality of the face shape, restoring a more balanced and harmonious volume to the face. Consequently, the necklines to be preferred are those round necks, soft and round and to be absolutely excluded instead are those that tend to stretch even more like the V-neck.

Square face neckline
The square face has one main characteristics angular shape, with square and clear lines, very decisive and marked. The purpose of the neckline? Soften the lines making them softer and more harmonious. The ideal is therefore v-neck which allows you to slim the figure and the shape of the face.
Round face neckline
The round face instead is characterized by smooth lines and full cheeks, all in perfect proportion and harmony of widths to heights but short. Hence, such a face needs to be slender and vertical with V-necks, deep but also with an asymmetrical cut like the one shoulder.
