There are many factors that can contribute to its appearance and that also play a decisive role in its deterioration such as nutrition, sedentary life, stress, hormones, genetics, etc. But main question: how does cellulite manifest itself? Let’s see below everything there is to know about it.
The phenomenon of cellulite
To explain well for those who still do not know, cellulite is a skin blemish, or rather a complex of anatomical and functional alterations which acts in depth, involving more tissues.
In fact, it is not only visible from the outside but from the inside it changes the adipose tissue and the circulatory system. Hence an accumulation of liquids that flows into water retention and swelling.
But what are they the causes of cellulite? As we said before, there can be many factors that determine its appearance or even its deterioration. Most of the time, however, these have to be traced back to hormonal problems; here are the main ones:
- genetic predisposition
- excessive estrogen activity
- alteration of venous circulation.
IS the areas in which it occurs? They can be all together or concentrated only in one area: hips, thighs, buttocks, abdomen, arms and even near the shoulders and neck.
How does cellulite manifest itself?
Instead, let’s see below how it manifests itself and in which stages it is divided:
- In the first stage, cellulite is in very light shape, in the form of water retention, a phase in which the skin still appears normal, perhaps just a little pasty.
- In the second stage, the skin is made more and more pasty, even if you don’t feel real pain yet. However, if you touch it with your finger, you can see swelling and small holes that make up the appearance of cellulite.
- In the third stage, however, the skin begins to deteriorate due to the formation of so-called orange peels. The skin thus loses its elasticity and you begin to feel pain to the touch.
- Finally, in the fourth stage the pitted appearance of the skin it is increasingly visible and evident, the pain is now part of the body and micronodules are formed inside, which can also be perceived by palpating the affected area.
