Spring has now started a few days ago and the good weather makes itself felt all over. And with him, also the dreaded and little expected spring cleaning. So, after starting with the change of season, it is time to move on to the other components of the house, from the kitchen to the living room up to the bathroom.
Here are the tips on how to do ecological spring cleaning, in a healthy and natural way.
How to do ecological spring cleaning
Spring cleaning is not loved and well-liked by everyone. There are those who love them as the arrival of summer because brings renewal and new color; those who hate them because they have to empty everything before starting to clean. And again, there are those who, if they could, would always avoid them like a bad disease!
But actually cleaning and keeping your home clean and tidy is not such a difficult and bad task.
It allows us, among other things, to discover possible deficiencies or defects in the different areas of the house such as bad smells and mold, which must always be kept under control. For this reason, it is important to proceed step by step, going to clean one room after another, and not on the contrary all at once. Thus, looking on the positive side, the work is divided into several days and it is less tiring!
We see below the tips on how to clean in a healthy and natural way.
Kitchen
Let’s start with the kitchen which is one of the rooms that, especially in the last year, has been lived the most for work or to be with the family. Start with the tent, the windows, the windows and the walls. Place the first in the washing machine and hang it up immediately, so you don’t have to iron it later. As for windows and fixtures, wash them with a damp cloth and dry them with another dry cloth. If you want to help yourself with a glass spray, you can also create a natural mixture of water, dish soap, vinegar and a few drops of lemon juice.
Then move on to the various compartments and drawers of the kitchen: empty them, clean them thoroughly and eliminate the superfluous. The same with the fridge. Again you can use a ecological solution and do it yourself, based on water and vinegar. Pay attention to the expiry dates of the foods!
Room
Another day, another room: the bedroom. Here, too, start with the curtains, glass and walls. Then move on to the wardrobes: if you have not already done so, carefully organize your wardrobe, dividing it into sections and occasions of use. Clean the inside of the cabinets and the surfaces with a not too wet cloth, put everything back inside and delete something if necessary. Finally, you can move on to objects, knick-knacks and any mirrors.
If you also have to clean the mattresses, a good tip is to vacuum them first and then to sprinkle some baking soda on top, on both sides, leaving it to act for about two hours.
Living room
With the stay we are half done, but it certainly is not a walk in the park! Here, too, start from the curtains and the windows, then move on to the most difficult parts: bookcase and sofa. If you have a bookcase, remove all the books and various objects, carefully clean and put away in order. If, on the other hand, you have suspended shelves or a block television cabinet, do the exact same thing. As for the sofa, take it out if you have it with the cover and put it to wash in the washing machine. And then vacuum all corners of the sofa with the vacuum cleaner.
Don’t forget about the heaters, the pictures and the handles and doors. How to clean them? Always with a well wrung cloth to avoid leaving marks. For a more thorough cleaning, you can use one natural and do-it-yourself spray based on water, vinegar and lemon juice. Finally, vacuum the carpets and floor and wash.
Bathroom
And with tips on how to do green spring cleaning, let’s finish with the bathroom. After removing the curtain, cleaning the windows and fixtures, you can dedicate yourself, as in the case of the kitchen and bedroom, to the different compartments. Remove everything, clean well and discard if necessary. Check product expirations and use one toothbrush to clean corners and joints. Finally, wash towels and bathrobes.
