Here’s What We Know Back in October 2020, Netflix acquired the license to the paranormal detective series Evil from CBS. Evil stars Mike Colter, along with Katja Herbers, Brooklyn Shuck, Aasif Mandvi and Skylar Gray. The synopsis tells us that psychologist Kristen Bouchard reluctantly works together with David Acosta, a priest in training.

CBS aired Evil in September 2019 and Season 1 of the series dropped on Netflix US on October 1, 2020. In fact, the US was the only region licensed to stream the show. CBS rarely licenses its shows away from its own CBS All Access (now Paramount+) platform.

Basically, if fans had seen that report at the time it was released, they wouldn’t be so disappointed now. As noted by Decider, when Season 2 arrived, CBS moved it to Paramount+, where it has already been renewed for Season 3. Will Season 2 of Evil drop on Netflix?

Evil is arguably one of the best supernatural dramas on television, and after the first season was so well-received by Netflix subscribers, it’s no surprise many of them would like clarity as to when Evil season 2 will be arriving on the streaming service. The first season of Evil consisted of 13 captivating endeavors filled with all sorts of terrifying moments that made the show a must-watch affair. In October 2019, it was announced the series would continue, and on June 20, 2021, the second run officially kicked off, this time moving to the streamings service that is now known as Paramount Plus, which used to be CBS All Access.

Each adventure they embark on is a tension-filled endeavor with plenty of nightmare-inducing moments, making it an ideal choice for fans of the genre. The show did very well and made its way into the top ten. But it doesn’t seem like Evil season 2 will be making its way to the streaming service considering its new home. The fact that it is now on Paramount Plus, a direct competitor of Netflix, most likely means the next set of entries will probably not be available outside of the library that used to reside under the name of CBS All Access.

This spooky drama series follows a forensic psychologist, a priest, and a tech-savvy consultant as they dive into some of the Church’s unsolved mysteries. Walking a wiggly line between science and religion, this eclectic team of skeptics and believers investigates potential demonic possessions, miracles, and other supernatural phenomena in an attempt to uncover either logical explanations, or haunting truths. We last left our investigators in the midst of a police shooting of an unarmed woman (air date: July 24th).
