The drama series stars Adam Brody, Martin Freeman, Ron Perlman, and other notable actors, following the creation of a fictional digital currency called GenCoin and the tech entrepreneurs who will do whatever it takes to make it successful.
If you’ve only recently started hearing about StartUp, you’re not alone. All three seasons of the series were just released on Netflix earlier this month, and it looks like viewers are eating it up. Nick Talman, Ronald Dacey, and Izzy Morales are the mismatched trio behind a start-up company that deals in GenCoin.
An FBI agent thinks there’s something funny about their money considering Nick’s father is a swindler in his own right. It’s a situation that calls for the kind of con that keeps this so-called company afloat and will require high-stakes corruption and a tie to a Miami gang. So far three seasons of StartUp have been released, however, the third season took its bow in 2018 leaving a fourth season hanging in the air.
Was StartUp canceled? Decider reports, the streamer, which was a Sony property, was sold to Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment in 2019. At this point, it doesn’t look like Crackle will be investing in a fourth season of the show since it’s been three years since the last season released.
