The anime adaptation (produced by Toei Animation) of the series saw the light of day very soon thereafter in 1998, and so far there have been over 900 episodes of the One Piece anime. In his quest of finding the One Piece, the ultimate pirate treasure, Luffy has gathered a small crew of pirates known as the Straw Hat Pirates or simply the Straw Hats. While some speculate that the author and the producers and publishers are milking One Piece, the author has clearly stated that he has an ending in mind and that he is trying to finish One Piece thoroughly, one arc at a time, and that his only desire is to see it through until the end in good health.
Interestingly, some fans would love for One Piece to last for that long and only hope for the author’s good health. If we consider the outstanding reception of One Piece, it is easy to jump to the conclusion that One Piece manga and anime will be coming out for many years to come simply because the One Piece series is incredibly profitable. However, the author has stated that he does not need that kind of a profit and that he only hopes for good health to be able to finish the manga.
Oda says that he knows exactly how One Piece will end and that the ending of One Piece will be interesting and exciting. What do the fans say about the One Piece ending? Most fans expect it to last for at least 10 to 15 years more and they also state that they will keep following it until its ending, whenever it comes.
This would make both fan rumors true and One Piece would end at episode 1000 about 10 years from now. Regardless of the many years this manga and anime are coming out, its fandom seems to be growing, which is amazing as most long animes lose fan interest to some degree. © 2013 Ellie Lowe Indibabale Ntshiyantshiya on September 11, 2020: I hope one piece gets another 15 years even though its 2020 and oda seems determined to end it in 4/5 years Sora on February 08, 2020: I just hope that one piece will finish before I die so i can watch the great finale joy on November 22, 2019: I would love to thank the author of making such amazing and interesting anime, i would love that it will last about 10 years but if the author in a serious condition, I hope that he past one piece down and it will last long as we live. Ace on September 19, 2018: pretty much the story is going smooth and everyone is enjoying it because of the flow and how is it going, about how long will the show go for nobody know’s but as long as we’re enjoying it we really don’t mind if it passed 1200 EP’s because the anime show’s a lot of things like friendship and not giving up no matter what, (thats my point 😉 Logan spencer on February 27, 2018: I know this is late but because of the fact that they must find the rest of red glyphs and of course beat the rest of the Emperors I don’t think he can just exactly end it at 1,000. then again I could be wrong and he could make Lufy fight and defeat a Emperor every 10 episodes (just kidding btw) but again I don’t feel like it’s goung to end at 1000 and I do feel like it could go on for a long time even after he dies I feel like he has someone else planned to finish the show/story for him, and if that’s the case I just hope nothing drastically changes 🙂 frank on February 05, 2018: loved it nour on December 15, 2017: one piece should never end .
Straw Hat on January 03, 2017: i think it would end at about 1100 to 1200 and i cant also wait to watch further episodes Angel9609 on November 22, 2016: Like Jake said… 😀 The Manga will conclude around the chapters 1200-1300 and the Anime will follow after with less than 100 episodes, less than the number of mangas… I don’t really have the patience to wait another 10 years or so for it to end.
Who Is One Of The Most Liked Characters In One Piece?
The One Piece community fondly recalls the earlier parts of the journey and express their gratitude towards Eiichiro Oda for creating this masterpiece. While some fans wonder if the show will end after airing episode 1000, most believe that the anime will continue for a few more years. One Piece is at a crucial stage, and the upcoming episode will give fans some clarity on the direction in which the plot will progress.
The Little Garden arc teased viewers as the Straw Hats made their way to the island of giants. One Piece fans have come across homes of angels, dwarves and fish people, and therefore it is highly likely that viewers will get to watch Elbaf in its glory. Nico Robin, one of the most liked characters in One Piece, is dedicated to unravelling the mystery of Poneglyphs.
One Piece will likely conclude Nico Robin’s story. Sabo’s fate is uncertain, and One Piece might have Monkey D. Luffy attempt another rescue by storming into Marine HQ. Likely, One Piece will not end until he avenges his older brother Ace.
It seems that the show will go on for another five years at least, and it only makes sense for the show to reach its conclusion when the Straw Hat Pirates realize their dreams. Edited by Yasho Amonkar
What Manga Author Has Been Infamous For Stating When The Manga Will Reach The End?
Here’s 10 of the most informative. Eiichiro Oda, the manga author of One Piece, has been infamous for stating when the manga will reach the end. From saying that it would end years ago to elongate the story because of how much he enjoyed writing and drawing it, he has made some controversy and interesting—statements about the conclusion of his popular series.
In July 0f 2006 in a volume of One Piece with an interview included, he stated that he had originally planned the ending to the series. 9 He Liked The Story Too Much To End It Every author should adore their story and characters as if they were their own children, and it seems like Oda had a soft spot for the seriesーso much so that he stated he enjoyed drawing and writing the story too much, so he didn’t want to end it. This was stated back in July 2006 like the previous entry, and during a point in time where he changed his mind about the direction of the story by adding in more arcs.
Because there is so much content to add, Oda can elongate the story as well as keep the quality too, at least, a good standard. 7 He Would Change The Ending If It Was Too Predictable Oda is not only a madman when it comes to writing storylines and character development, but he is also one when it comes to surprising his devoted One Piece fans. For following the story for so long, fans would feel disappointed if the story ended on a predictable note.
This is a surprise, but considering Oda is able to constantly come up with storylines and plots, he can surely change the ending if he so wished. There are currently 97 volumes of One Piece, which means he will surely reach his goal. By 2020, who knows what percentage One Piece will be at in the end, as long as which characters will be alive, and which ones will die.
3 He Wanted It To End Within 5 Years In 2018 As well as stating he is 80% done with the story, he also stated he wished to end the One Piece manga within 5 years. 2 He Wants To Reach 1,000 Manga Chapters By The End Of 2020 Oda’s 2020 One Piece goal is to reach 1,000 manga chapters by the end of the year. Either Oda will reach his goal this year, or he will reach it at the beginning of the new year, 2021.
Who Is The Creator Of One Piece?
✖ One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has revealed that the story for the long running manga is now in its final stage. Couple this with some of the huge reveals about the world at large and the mysteries of the final island, the stage for whatever Oda has planned for the end of the series has been set as well. Now Oda has cemented this.
It begins as such: Here we are everyone, 100 volumes. You can now line up 100 unique volumes of One Piece on a shelf!! For those of you who own all of them, they’re probably taking way too much space even though you have tons of other important books.
Is that really all that boils down to?! Continuing further, Oda drops another big tease about the series’ final stage, Maybe it’s better to leave deciding what those 100 volumes represent to the readers. Too much space?
The final stage of the series could last anywhere between five to ten years (as other teases have asserted), but it’s clear that the ending for One Piece is more in sight now than ever. How would you want to see the series come to an end?
What Year Did One Piece Reach Its 1000Th Chapter In Its Manga?
One Piece fans were treated to a ton of celebrations in 2021 after the franchise hit its 1000th chapter in its manga. There’s also the 100th volume that was released as well, and the upcoming 1000th episode of the long-running anime adaptation. Needless to say, the hype train for Eiichiro Oda’s shonen masterpiece is not slowing down just yet, as there are still a ton of upcoming plot threads that still need to be tackled before the series can ever begin to end.
We’ve seen the homes of fishpeople, dwarves, and angels, so it’s only fitting that we get to see Elbaf in all its glory. Although his first attempt at storming Marine HQ ended up with his first brother, Ace sacrificing himself, things may turn around as Luffy is much stronger this time around and has the entire Straw Hat Grand Fleet by his side. As George Lucas famously said of his Star Wars saga: “It’s like poetry…
Either way, it is almost certain that we will see the end of Nico Robin’s journey on the horizon. Whether it is Luffy’s newfound mastery of Conqueror’s Haki, Zoro’s mystical sword skills or Sanji’s augmented genetic powers, there is nothing that can defeat this trio of heroes. All we need are climactic battles against the Admirals of the Marines and the crew of Blackbeard to witness the true power of these three.
Luffy is destined to get the One Piece and be the King of Pirates when he gets to the final island, Laugh Tale. Either way, it would truly mark the end of One Piece once we see Luffy and his crew finally achieving their dreams.
