Norwegian Netflix Series Ragnarok Revealed

After a successful first season, fans of the Norwegian series Ragnarok received a swift renewal. Ragnarok is a Norwegian Netflix Original drama series created by Adam Price and produced by SAM Productions. The Original is only the second full Norwegian Netflix series and is already looking like one of the most popular dramas to come from the region.

This was only the beginning. These figures are important, as Ragnarok could be watched by millions of subscribers within the first month. The series reached the top 5 on Netflix UK.

What could have killed Magne appears to have left him unconscious but the fate of Vidar is yet to be revealed. Laurits has proven himself to be quite the joker, heavily hinting that he is, in fact, the incarnation of Loki.

What Anime Series Did Netflix Release?

When Netflix released the long-awaited anime series Record of Ragnarok, it was safe to say that anime fans had tons of mixed feelings about the show. On one hand, fans were excited that the adaptation was happening in the first place, but on the other hand, fans also would have preferred if the adaptation did the manga series justice. The manga series, Shuumatsu no Valkyrie, has been hailed for its insanely good premise, its amazing dynamic original characters, and for its absolutely epic fight scenes between powerful gods and humans.

Still, fans are hopeful that this series would eventually receive another second season to possibly correct the mistakes made in the first, but they would have to wait a little longer to see their favorite series return once more as Record of Ragnarok season 2 is not coming to Netflix in July 2021. Record of Ragnarok season 2 release date Currently, there has been no official confirmation regarding the anime series‘ fate. As we’ve mentioned before, the reception for the anime has been lukewarm with the show receiving an audience score of 65% on Rotten Tomatoes, yet, this score doesn’t negate the fact that the anime did do pretty well in terms of viewership, which, hopefully, could point to a season 2 renewal over at Netflix.

There are new action-packed fights to see, new characters to meet, and new champions to be crowned, so fans can rest easy knowing that there is still much more to come. In this second season, the series is less concerned with its coming-of-age elements, and focuses more on its reimagining of Norse mythology. Thor and Loki are here reimagined as teenagers. Season 1 focused on Magne’s evolution as he came to terms with the implications that being Thor entailed—namely that he will have to fight the Giants, the ancient Gods.

By building on what the series established in the first season, the story can now focus on the impending war between the Gods and the Giants, toning down the coming-of-age romance, as well as the climate change activism, that defined the first six episodes. The second season thus sees Magne prepare for the fight, and what this concretely means. In order to prevent Ragnarok, the Norse end of days, he must kill the Jutul family.

His written fate is further complicated once he discovers this would hurt his brother, who is the reincarnation of Loki, the god of mischief.
