Sandra Oh stars in this new Netflix series from co-creator Amanda Peet. (Aug. 20) Clickbait This new Netflix miniseries offers a collection of stories that show how people’s uncontrolled impulses are fueled in the age of social media.
(Aug. 25) The Kissing Booth 3 It’s the summer before Elle Evans is set to head off to college, and she has a big decision to make. Stars Joey King, Jacob Elordi and Joel Courtney. (Aug. 11) Catch Me If You Can (2002) A young con man keeps the FBI guessing and on his trail as he runs from the law and his personal demons in Steven Spielberg’s crackling but somber comedy starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.
(Now available) Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1987) One of our all-time favorites, John Hughes’ 1986 comedy classic stars Matthew Broderick as a high school wise guy determined to have a day off from school, despite what the principal thinks of that. Knock out your perfect day with just a little sliver of summer left, so you don’t have to skip school to do it. (Now available) Friday Night Lights (TV) One of the greatest television shows that ever aired, this series (based on the 1990 nonfiction book by H. G. Bissinger) takes place in Dillon, is a small, close-knit community in rural Texas where high school football head coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his his wife Tami (Connie Britton) guide young people along as the show addresses many issues facing contemporary American culture, including family values, school funding, racism, drugs, abortion and lack of economic opportunities.
(Now available) Inception (2010) Leonard DiCaprio stars as a thief who steals corporate secrets through the use of dream-sharing technology and is given the task of planting an idea into the mind of a CEO in Christopher Nolan’s mind heist masterpiece.
