Who Is The Executive Producer Of Knight Rider?
EXCLUSIVE: Spyglass Media Group has teamed with Atomic Monster’s James Wan and Michael Clear to develop a film based on the 1980s classic action series Knight Rider. TJ Fixman, a former video game writer, is adapting the screenplay. Created by Glen A. Larson, Knight Rider first aired on NBC from 1982-1986 and boosted David Hasselhoff’s career.
The series amassed a significant cult following and spun more TV spinoffs, films, video games, books, and a Knight Rider convention known as KnightCon. Plot details for this latest installment are being kept under wraps but we hear it will be a present-day take that will maintain the anti-establishment tone of the original. Judson Scott will serve as executive producer.
On the film side, Fixman has sold a number of scripts Including One Night On the Hudson to Universal Pictures, Brotherhood of Magic to MGM, and Men Who Kill to Fox with Greg Berlanti producing and Michael B. Jordan starring. Most recently, he sold his original pitch Rogue to STX with David S. Goyers’ Phantom Four producing and feature pitch Legacy to Village Roadshow with Phantom Four producing. Fixman is repped by Grandview and Ziffren Brittenham.
Wan’s reps are CAA, Stacey Testro International, and Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light LLP.
Who Starred In The Movie Knight Rider?
The December 2021 Netflix release list is now with us and one of the surprises is that Netflix will be receiving all four seasons of the NBC classic, Knight Rider starring David Hasselhoff. All four seasons and the movie will hit Netflix in the United States on December 1st, 2021. The series was created by Glen A. Larson who went onto work with 20th Century Fox following the conclusion of Knight Rider.
The series is currently available on both the NBC app in full (not Peacock which s bizarre) and Starz as of the time of writing. Well, that’s not clear. Our best guess right now is that Netflix will have the show for a year or two but don’t be surprised if it’s shorter.
Time to spend some time with the Hoff! Knight Rider 2000 hits Netflix in the United States on December 1st. The last we heard officially regarding a new Knight Rider movie was back in August 2020 where TJ Fixman was on board to script and Spyglass Media and James Wan producing.
Time will tell. Let us know in the comments down below.
