Chicago Med just recently joined Netflix and if you’re wondering if Chicago Fire and/or Chicago P.D. will now follow suit and come to Netflix US, we hate to potentially be the bearer of bad news. Both shows mentioned come from Dick Wolf who is a prolific television producer who is known effectively for three franchises all of which call NBC home. All set in Illinois’s Chicago city, the three respective shows tells stories from the various emergency services in the city.
Chicago P.D. Will Chicago P.D. or Chicago Fire be on Netflix? Why Chicago Med was licensed to Netflix is unknown. The idea for Chicago Med in our view is that NBC Universal has licensed to Netflix to get fans hooked to then jump over to Peacock which has season 6 (it’s unclear when season 6 will come to Netflix) and then explore the other shows which regularly crossed over too.
Where is Chicago P.D. One exception is Chicago Fire which was also recently licensed out but not to Netflix. Those with a Netflix DVD subscription will also find the majority of the back catalog of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
Who Did Nbc Sign A Deal With To Allow Chicago Med To Stream On Netflix?

Under the deal, Med became the first Dick Wolf-produced series to arrive on Netflix in years and it’s currently the only Wolf-produced streaming on Netflix and one of only a few NBCUniversal series to stream on Netflix. While Hulu and Peacock have been the sole streaming homes for the One Chicago franchise in the past, could things be changing in opening the door for NBC’s fellow One Chicago dramas to join Chicago Med on the streaming powerhouse?
At this time, it is unclear whether Chicago Fire or Chicago PD will be coming to Netflix but the fact that Chicago Med has made its way to Netflix is a positive sign for fans of the franchise. Because we’re less than a month removed from when Chicago Med first came to Netflix, it’s hard to predict whether NBC might look to further expand its partnership with Netflix in looking to license additional NBCUniversal originals to the streaming service. The fact that NBCUniversal inked a deal with Netflix to bring Chicago Med to Netflix for the first time in the show’s history makes it clear the studio is open to exploring streaming deals in looking to make the series available to even more viewers and explore new deals to do so.
When will Chicago Fire and Chicago PD be on Netflix? Given Chicago Med arrived on Netflix less than 24 hours after news of the show’s arrival broke, it’s hard to predict when exactly Chicago Fire and Chicago PD will come to Netflix. The earliest we’d anticipate either series coming to Netflix would be in October 2021, as it’s possible NBC could look to license seasons of the shows to Netflix after seeing the viewership totals for Chicago Med‘s first episodes of the season.
In the meantime, you can enjoy all seasons of the One Chicago franchise on Peacock! Those first 15 episodes set the tone for a program much darker than its parent series Chicago Fire and a gritty cop drama that audiences around the world have come to love. Is Chicago PD season 1 streaming on Netflix? While fans used to be able to rent the season on DVD when Netflix was focused on DVD rental, the season is not included in the streaming options.
NBC originally had all of the One Chicago series available to watch online via Hulu, because the network’s parent company Comcast owns a portion of Hulu. You can now find the first season of Chicago PD exclusively on Peacock, though you will have to pay for a Peacock Premium subscription to access it; only the current season is available on their free tier.
