Driven by the hope that the payoff could help pave the way to a reconciliation with his estranged daughter Kate (Ella Purnell), Ward takes on the challenge, assembling a ragtag team of experts for the heist.

Scott finds an unexpected emotional hurdle when Kate joins the expedition to search for Geeta (Huma S. Qureshi), a mother who’s gone missing inside the city. With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster horde of Alpha zombies closing in, only one thing’s for certain in the greatest heist ever attempted: survivors take all.

There are, technically, two Army of the Dead movies on Netflix right now. Only one of the movies has a lot of zombies, though, and that’s Army of the Dead. Will there be an Army of the Dead 2?

Army of the Dead 2 has received an official title – Planet of the Dead – just as Zack Snyder’s Netflix universe expands with prequel movie Army of Thieves. Netflix The first movie certainly left viewers with plenty to discuss after watching it, such as what’s going to happen next to Vanderohe, whether Geeta was alive or dead and where exactly those robot zombies came from. So now that you’ve enjoyed Army of Thieves on Netflix, here’s everything you need to know about Army of the Dead 2.

We never see him get bitten in the movie, but it probably happened when Vanderohe was battling Zeus outside the vault. This is a pretty short list as there weren’t many characters left alive at the end of Army of the Dead to come back in the sequel. Of the main cast, only Omari Hardwick’s Vanderohe and Ella Purnell’s Kate Ward definitely survived, but as we mentioned above, Vanderohe is hardly in the prime of his life and is set to be a zombie any moment now. The prequel movie Army of Thieves focused on Ludwig’s life before the Las Vegas heist and didn’t give any indication of whether he died in the vault.

I won’t tell you what happens in Army of the Dead 2 but let’s just say that there’s a chance Dieter survives. Gwendoline was played by Nathalie Emmanuel in the prequel movie, so could we be seeing her in the sequel too? Army of the Dead and Army of Thieves are available to watch on Netflix.

When Did Zack Snyder’S Army Of The Dead Arrive On Netflix?

Following the release of Army of Thieves on Netflix last Friday, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead has rocketed back on Netflix around the globe re-entering the top 10s months after its initial release. Army of Thieves arrived on Netflix on October 29th, 2021 and after a week, it topped the global top 10 charts for the week ending November 5th beating out Halloween release Hypnotic. Based on our data, this is the strongest re-emergence we’ve seen for a Netflix Original movie around the time of a sequel/prequel release.

Dieter also appeared in Army of the Dead but sadly (spoiler alert), didn’t make it to the end of the film. Why did Army of the Dead get a big boost on Netflix? Possibly most important is that the movies are connected with many references in both directions throughout each respective movie.

Just a quick search on Twitter reveals that many rewatched Army of the Dead just to clear up some of the more plot-specific references between the two movies. I love Deiter. If we look at this week’s global top 10s for instance, you can see that on the global movies list, nearly every title featured was added to Netflix over the past month.

And by the time it ended, [co-writer Shay Hatten] was like, ‘OK.’ Snyder also points out a few Easter eggs, including the robot zombies, and the address on the shipping container that alpha zombie Zeus escapes from at the outset of film. When asked about the time loop theory, Snyder responded I don’t know, what is the deal? referencing the bodies by the vault that look like the crew, and which spark the in-movie speculation.
