Then we realize, as we see flat tires on cars, and a siren going off, that the neighborhood is abandoned. The Gist: It’s the beginnings of a zombie apocalypse, and these zombies mean business. They’re not ambling, limping, zombies, though; they run, and they’re speedy.
One officer notices something wrong with Patrick and doesn’t let him on the transport, and the two of them get separated from Anna, who is on the truck. And he tells her to go find Anna without him. We soon find out that Rose should have left right there and then.
As he’s being held in a house, he manages to escape, kill the soldier that’s watching him, and don his uniform. Our Take: Black Summer is a well-done show. As far as we know, though, there is no character overlap, so we can review this show on its own merits.
It makes sense, since Rose is basically the main character, pushing her way to the stadium to find Anna. But for the most part, we didn’t see anything on Black Summer that we haven’t seen on Fear The Walking Dead and other shows about the beginnings of the zombie apocalypse, when people still have faith in government and authority and have hope that they can survive by following what they tell them to do. But for now, we don’t see any reason to keep watching given our current case of zombie fatigue.
What Is One Of My Favorite Things About Black Summer?
For whatever reason, I really enjoy being freaked out. And that is exactly why I was excited to watch Black Summer on Netflix. From the very moment it started, I knew I was going to binge it in just a few short days.
Not only are they fast, like REALLY fast, the people turn immediately. So if someone dies, and they are lying on the ground, withing seconds they are a flesh eating zombie. If you kill someone (or see someone die near you) and you don’t bash their head in, you better start running.
For me, this makes it a must watch. I love jump scares, I love being startled, and yes I know that makes me crazy. Throughout Black Summer, there are several different groups of characters, that all end up together in a crazy way.
