WARNING SPOILERS ARE IN THIS ARTICLE READ AT YOUR OWN RISK: ok first of all there is no sex so parents need to chill about that. it’s a great show with amazing role models and teamwork throughout the whole show, every time at the end of every season all of the characters get together to fight off the main monster (which i will bring up later). so amazing teamwork in this show 10/10. but for the mind flayer in the 3rd season that can be really disturbing and it just gives me this feeling in my gut because for the monster to be made the mind flayer it absorbs people’s melted bodies and all it is is just gooey gore and bones, its just really nasty and it disturbs me. but the graphics for all of the monsters are really amazing. in season 2 one of the kids is possessed and tortured through the whole season. in season one there is a scene where blood started pouring from everyone’s face. that’s it for the violence, 10/10. oh and i’m a cat lover and a cat gets killed in season 2.#JusticeForMews for the sexual stuff there’s mainly just kissing, in one scene nancy takes her shirt off and starts kissing steve but she still has a bra on, this is while her friend is being killed, i know, nancy is such a great friend right!! sarcasm. 10/10 language and drinking and smoking is pretty bad even though the f word is only used once but the s word is used at least 50 times a season also pu**y, Ahole, D**m, hell, b***h, and many more. the smoking is used way too much, and a teenager got drunk at a halloween party at one point. 10/10 but this is definitely is a great show for pre teens although your kid might not get it if he/she’s like 11, because i was 11 when i first watched it and i didn’t fully comprehend it. great show i rate it 10/10
What Age Range Does The Show Fall Into?
Great show, but just some things to keep in mind… 13-14 up (depending on maturity) The name of the TV show has popped up and been mentioned, quite frequently by my friends and other parents, in the past half year or so, so we (my 14y old and I) thought we’d give it a go. And I must say that its quite alluring and compelling with the plot and the different, relatable characters. Although the consumerism and sex is quite minimal, I’d have to disagree with the 12+ overall rating given by parents on this site as the graphics and swearing at times can be quite intense.
I am able to watch this show with my 14y old and they understand swearing at this age so the language used in this show isn’t alarming or triggering in anyway, and in some scenes has even been amusing. However if you are uncomfortable with your teen listening or being exposed to these words, I suggest you watch over the episode before letting them watch it. Theres been a couple of reviews from parents mentioning and being slightly alarmed by the party and some of the ‘sexier’ scenes in this tv show.
Pretty much all teen TV shows these days include these kinds of scenes, and I have seen a lot worse from other ‘teen’ shows. There are a lot of cigars consumed by the characters in this show, however this is because of the era it is plotted in (the 80’s), so there’s nothing to be worried about by this, so long as your kid understands the effects of consuming them and you are certain that they won’t go on and do the same. The violence in the show was the one thing I was worried most about, as I don’t want my kids to be witnessing any overly violent acts and to be influenced by them in anyway.
There are some great kid actor/actresses in this TV show that have a good image, and I myself am a fan of some of them and think that they’re great role models for my kids, unlike some young actors/actresses that sometimes portray unrealistic standards and images for young teens. Overall i’d be fine and would feel comfortable with my daughter watching this on her own.
What Is The Most Popular Netflix Show To Date?
Stranger Things is the most popular Netflix show to date, and accordingly, parents all over the world are wondering if the show is suitable for kids. While Stranger Things is a show about kids, it might not be a good show for all kids. The first season of Stranger Things is definitely less disturbing than the second and third seasons.
The second and third seasons are much more violent and graphic, and I’m guessing that could be where many parents draw the line with this series. There are more deaths shown on-screen, and it’s just more disturbing for younger viewers, in general. Stranger Things season 3 is probably the most adult season of the show so far.
Even some children, and adults for that matter, above the age of 14 years old might find it to be too much. The choice is obviously up to parents. I don’t think the show is all that scary, but I’m sure that some younger kids, and even adults, would find some of the scenes to be very disturbing or unsettling.
The show started production earlier this year, but of course, filming was delayed because of the coronavirus. The show is also coming back for season 5 on Netflix.
On What Date Does Season Three Of Stranger Things Hit Netflix?
With season three of the show hitting Netflix on July 4, you may have a teen who’s ready to dive into the series now that they’re a little older, so we’ve rounded up the things to be wary of before they start watching from season one. Keep reading to learn what to look out for when your teen begins binging Stranger Things. There’s moderate violence throughout.
The creature, the Demogorgon, captures young kids, there are a few scenes with guns, there’s definite blood and gore, and a few characters are killed. In season one, we see a lot of the Upside Down, an alternate dimension that exists parallel to the human world. A character is also seen dead in the Upside Down, which is pretty jarring.
Expect the usual swear words and characters calling others inappropriate names. Some of the characters are bullied. Although a few characters who drink and smoke are of age, the show’s about teens, so there are scenes with parties and teens drinking illegally.
There’s a whole lot of kissing and some mild sexual language. With teen hormones running rampant, there are plenty of makeout scenes, some talk about sex, intimate scenes that are nudity-free, and a few suggestive remarks.
What Is The Age Rating For Season Three Of Stranger Things?
Is the show helmed by kids actually kid-friendly? (Picture: Netflix) The wait is finally over – season three of Stranger Things has landed on Netflix at last. Stranger Things is an emotional roller coaster, and full of plenty of creepy scares to boot, but since it’s been fronted by a group of kids since season one, it can be hard for someone who’s never seen it to gauge how old someone should be before they tune in.
What is the age rating for Stranger Things? Just like seasons one and two, season three of Stranger Things features death, creepy alien-esque creatures, and the main characters – most of whom are who are children – are put in mortal peril. So it’s safe to say Stranger things is probably not suitable for very young viewers.
Further to that, every episode of season three has been rated 15. What Is The Name Of The Third Season Of Stranger Things On Netflix?
Stranger Things Season 3 is on Netflix now and while many people have binged it already, there are some parents who have asked me to do a parent review for Stranger Things Season 3. Is Stranger Things Season 3 kid friendly? If your kids watched the first two seasons, then violence is pretty on par, but the kids are older, so there is some more mature content in this season.
I remember them being mouthy in the first season of Stranger Things, then it got a little worse in the second season, and in the third season, even more. I’m not going to sugar coat it. I started counting every word, but I got tired after 15-20 uses of sh–, sh–head, or bullsh– in each episode.
Also said various times are a–, a–hole, bit-h, damn, bastards, and they say pus-y a couple of times. There’s also a lot of use of taking the Lord’s name in vain like Jesus, Jesus Christ, and g-ddammit. There may have been one use of the f-word, but I couldn’t tell if she completed the word, because it was a tense scene.
One teenager spends the night at another’s house and you see her in her underwear. Moms of the community are lusting after a lifeguard. There’s also a lot of disrespectful attitudes and words exchanged between adults and children.
Is Stranger Things Season 3 kid friendly? Because of language, violence, and mature content, I don’t recommend Stranger Things 3 as a show for middle schoolers. So, no, not perfect, but count me in for dressing like Steve and Robin this October, and you better believe I’m buying U.S.S. Butterscotch Ice Cream from Baskin Robbins.
