Fans rejoiced earlier this month when it was revealed that The Mandalorian‘s second season would reintroduce the original badass intergalactic bounty hunter, Boba Fett. Since Disney purchased Star Wars they’ve been very quiet about Fett’s whereabouts, with most assuming he was still trapped in the Sarlacc Pit. Now we know that he made his escape sometime before the first season though, as he had a very brief and mysterious appearance at the end of the episode “The Gunslinger.”
For someone that takes the rules as seriously as Djarin, conflict is definitely coming. But now there’s a potential twist that could have fans fuming. The Overlord DVD channel on YouTube (presented by a person with what appears to be a foot spa on his head) claims to have insider gossip on season 2 and says that Boba Fett will remove his helmet on the show and reveal himself as a woman.
Jawas scavenge his armor, which goes on to be acquired by Star Wars Rebels’ Sabine Wren. It’s Wren who’ll then be wearing it on the show and she’ll go on to wear it in her own animated Disney+ series, too. Let’s be charitable and put this down as an attempt to rouse up clicks from the sizable contingent of Star Wars fans who hiss like vampires exposed to sunlight whenever a woman does anything of note in a galaxy far far away.
They’ve also already announced that Temuera Morrison is playing Fett and it would be a little weird to make a big song and dance about his return to Star Wars and then immediately kill him off. I think we can chalk this ‘rumor’ down to a drought of news due to the COVID-19 lockdown and a new video needing to be produced, but if you’ve got your own thoughts on it, feel free to leave them in the usual place down below.
Who Was The First Clone Of A Specimen Named O.B.?
No, Boba Fett was a good guy! And maybe not a guy at all! Don’t think that not having an internet kept Star Wars fans of the past from speculating wildly — or from penning the ink-on-paper equivalent of mindless clickbait.
Besides mistaking The Empire Strikes Back for a new baseline instead of a flukish high-water mark, and also presuming Lucas cared anywhere near as much as Fantastic Films readers did, Hays believed the following: Darth Vader is not Luke’s father. Instead, he and Luke are clones of another Jedi named Skywalker. The Millennium Falcon ?
“Designed by Jedi scientists as Skywalker’s private warship, to protect his cover identity as a smuggler.” “Is Obi-Wan supposed to be Jesus Christ? Yes and no.”
If the early Christians cloned Jesus to preserve his unique DNA, they might have built the Jesus Eugenics Development Institute.” Bounty hunter Boba Fett isn’t just a clone…Boba Fett’s a she- clone. “Boba could be a family nickname for Roberta.” clone.
Of course, all of Hays’s speculation pales next to the climax Lucas actually envisioned: As Lando and some fish-faced thing re-enact the last half-hour of Star Wars, a sleepy-eyed Han Solo beats up stormtroopers with some teddy bears.
Who Is Boba Fett’S Daughter?
Sorry Boba Fett fans, but we’re pretty sure everyone’s favorite galactic bounty hunter isn’t in The Mandalorian. One new theory delves into forgotten Star Wars lore to explain how Boba’s own daughter could turn out to be the biggest twist in The Mandalorian Season 2. Speculative spoilers for Mandalorian Season 2 below.
She hunted down her own father, once tried to kill Han Solo, and — considering she was born 15 years before the Battle of Yavin — she’d be an adult during The Mandalorian. But before you accuse us of digging into non-canon Star Wars for half-baked theories, be warned, we have a legitimate reason to believe that Boba Fett’s daughter could show up in The Mandalorian Season 2. Is that you, Boba Fett?
After all, Boba’s daughter is a pretty cool character… Ailyn Vel Lucasfilm An introduction to Ailyn Vel Ailyn is the daughter of Boba Fett (himself a clone of Jango Fett) and the bounty hunter Sintas Vel. A hologram showing Boba Fett with his family. Later, she tracked down someone she thought was Boba, found a dead body she assumed was his, and stole the armor and his ship, Slave IV.
Ailyn Vel dressed as Boba Fett. Lucasfilm Oh, and that whole Han Solo thing? In the EU, Thrackan dragged the galaxy into a second civil war and was eventually killed by Han, the female Mandalorian bounty hunter Mirta Gev, and Boba Fett.
Maybe that’s one Extended Universe detail the new Star Wars canon can leave behind. We’ve had enough of Boba Fett. And that chance is in The Mandalorian Season 2.

Learn More Why The Girl In The Cantina From The Book Of Boba Fett Chapter 2 Is More Important Than You Think While the biggest revelation to come out of The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 2 is undoubtedly the return of the Hutts to Tatooine, the episode also provided fans with some pretty crucial details about Boba Fett’s (Temuera Morrison) backstory.
Chapter 2 continues the nonlinear narrative present in the series’ pilot. After the arrival of the Hutts, we flash back to Fett’s story just after his escape from the Sarlacc Pit and learn more about his dealings with the Tusken Raiders. Fett is moved by the plight of the Raiders, and after a vicious attack on the tribe by an armored train, he decides to procure some speeder bikes so the Raiders can track down the train and seek revenge.
