From Thursday 1st July the European Green Pass comes into force, that is a certificate valid throughout the European Union for its citizens that can be issued both in digital and paper format and that allows you to leave national borders.
How it works and how to get the European Green Pass
The document is issued under the required requirements, who have been vaccinated, recovered from Covid or tested negative. It was released by the national authorities on National and European Green Pass are similar tools. The one that is released for Italy, two weeks after the first dose, allows you to take part in ceremonies such as weddings and sporting events, but it is not needed to move between regions (whether white or yellow). The European one, on the other hand, will be used to move between EU member states. Among its features is the presence of a QR code that allows you to guarantee its validity and at the same time prevent it from being falsified.
The validity of the European Green Pass
Without prejudice to the knots to be solved, the European Green Pass should be valid after 14 days have passed since the last dose of vaccine, that is the second for AstraZeneca, Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna and after the only one Janssen. So those who have this requirement will not be able to undergo testing or quarantine.
The possibility of providing the European Green Pass was left to the countries even after the first dose, but it is at the discretion of each State to recognize its validity which, however, must be extended not only to its own citizens but also to those arriving from abroad.
For who, on the other hand, is recovered from Covid the validity of the Green Pass should be 180 days. Who decides, finally, to undergo to the test to get the Green Pass those of the molecular type (or Pcr) should have a validity of 72 hours, the rapid antigenic ones, which may also not be accepted, should have a validity of 48 hours.
The children
THE children under six should not be tested, a different matter for minors over six years of age who will instead have to make the appropriate checks and therefore have the negative swab, or the certification attesting to recovery from Covid – 19. Children between 12 and 17 years old will be able to obtain the Green Pass including through vaccination. While it can be requested from the age of two.
