The causes
Among the various causes of partridge’s eye we find first of all the footwear or the way in which socks are used when the foot has perhaps sweated or is wet. The stiff shoes or too uncomfortable are among the first causes of partridge eye, but also friction given for example by a too “stuffy” sock or too tight laced shoes that cause a rubbing between the toes. When the foot is very thin and the shoes are tight prominent bones could create this problem.
Even the bones that, due to load management, have assumed an abnormal shape with respect to the conformation they should have go to cause partridge eye, especially if the immune defenses are low. Hammer toes or the “infamous” hallux valgus fall into this category. Many of these problems result in loss of the transverse arch or generate osteoarticular alterations that result from one incorrect posture and therefore a strong imbalance between the muscle chains. To prevent the problem from worsening and further overloading various osteoarticular structures and tendons, all weight management from the hip to the knee to the ankle must be reviewed.
