From 8 April it is possible to present he asks the INPS to get the new “Baby sitter bonus”. This is a measure that had already been announced with the Decree Law of 13 March with which the government had promised the allocation of 280 million euros in favor of families through the new parental leave and – in fact – the new bonus.
Now that the Support Decree, INPS was able to initiate the procedure to accept the requests. Compared to the previous version of the bonus, the one granted last June, “the amounts and categories of entitled persons have changed, factors that required the necessary alignment of administrative procedures and the configuration of the IT ones”, the Institute said.
Here are the basic steps on who can request it and how.
Baby sitter bonus, who can request it
As already announced in the decree of last March, the new babysitter bonus is provided for self-employed parents (both registered in the separate INPS management, and self-employed persons registered with another social security institution), the forces of the security, defense and public rescue sector, law enforcement and health workers with children under 14 in distance learning or quarantine. The measure can be used until 30 June 2021, within the overall maximum limit of 100 euros per week. The amount will be paid through the family booklet.
How to apply for the “Baby sitter Bonus”
There are two possible ways to apply for access to the bonus. The first through the INPS website, using the special online Bonsu babysitting service. The user will be asked to log in to proceed with the compilation of the request by recognizing the digital identity through Spid at least level 2, electronic identity card (Cie), national service card (Cns), or through the device type issued by the Institute.
The second modality concerns the patronages, who can offer the service to citizens free of charge and support them in the procedure.
Not only babysitters, summer camps are also part of the bonus
As specified by the decree, the bonus can be paid, alternatively, directly to the applicant for proven enrollment in summer centers, territorial socio-educational services, centers with an educational and recreational function and integrative or innovative services for early childhood. In the latter case, however, the bonus is incompatible with the so-called nursery bonus.
