A few weeks after the almost integral red zone, the region colors and the restrictions begin to ease with the passage of much of Italy in orange. The signing of the new ordinance by Minister Speranza on 9 April makes some categories breathe a sigh of relief, although still bent by the stringent rules to deal with the health emergency.
The severe line of the Draghi government continues with the total abolition of the yellow zone, despite the tepid improvement in the data, with some regions that – however – may begin to slowly restart from the orange structure. Shops, hairdressers and beauty centers reopen. It is allowed to move within the municipality of residence without self-certification.
The band change decided by the order of Minister Roberto Speranza, it will be valid from 12 April. Many regions were promoted, with only three areas still characterized by the formula with greater restrictions and which will be maintained for the next few weeks. The latest data released speak of a decrease in infections, with a positive rate of 4.7%, while the number of victims remains high, 427 on Thursday 8 April.
The regions in the orange zone from 12 April
On Monday, April 12, Italy will wake up orange, with just a few hints of red. The regions currently in the red zone they are Calabria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, Puglia, Tuscany, Valle d’Aosta, but for many of them the restrictions have worked.
I’m promoted in the orange zone Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The Governor of Emilia-Romagna had already anticipated the color change – Stefano Bonaccini – who expressed himself in these terms: “I do not exclude that we may be orange from next week. The numbers are comforting in recent weeks. Today the Rt index in the region is around 0.80. It means that closures and restrictions are counting, as always they are the only ones that work ”.
The President of Lombardy is also optimistic Attilio Fontana, who had announced that he had requested the change of color to the control room of the CTS.
Tuscany and Piedmont are also hoping for a promotion. In this regard, the President of the Region expressed himself Alberto Cirio, who also focused on the situation of the health structures involved in the emergency: The weekly data confirm a progressive improvement in Piedmont. The Rt value dropped to 0.9. The number of new cases reported is reduced as well as the number of active or new outbreaks. Our report must be validated by the control room, but based on these parameters we are confident that Piedmont can return to orange as early as next week.
It does not change the situation of Veneto, Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo, Trento and Bolzano, which confirm the orange zone.
